Overview

The goal of this project is to import the [ http://www.artcompsci.org Art of Computational Science] into this wiki, so that it can become a living document. Some specific things we want to be able to do with it:

• Allow easy translation into other computer languages, "inline" in the text.
• Allow students and others learning from it to edit the text for clarity where they see the opportunity.
• Allow extensions to sections of it as knowledge in the field advances.

This is the Wiki Import of Moving Stars Around by Piet Hut and Jun Makino. This is the most basic introduction to gravitational simulations that should be able to bring anybody-- researchers new to the field, graduate students, undergraduates, even bright and interested high school students-- up to speed on the basics of the field.
